Dylan Wolchik
Owner
12u & 16u Coach
Dylan founded Ace Baseball Academy in July of 2021. Coming off the brink of the pandemic, he took a leap and chased a childhood dream of owning his own baseball academy. That dream started with 4 teams for the first year of Ace Baseball, and has now grown to 6 teams for our 2nd year of operation. This company was created to offer high quality coaching for youth baseball players. All coaches in this academy have some type playing experience at a high level.
Prior to starting this Academy, Dylan served as the pitching coaching and assisted with recruiting at Limestone College. Dylan will be overseeing our 15u and Showcase teams and will serve as the Director of Baseball Operations. As a pitching coach, Dylan brings a work ethic and detail-oriented approach that will certainly help our program continue to grow and excel

We are extremely excited to have Grant join our program to help grow the game.
Why do you Coach?
"After my playing career ended I knew I needed a way to stay connected to the game, I think it's a great opportunity to give back to the game of baseball and stay involved with the game that I have always loved."
Landon Smith
11u & 2024 Coach
Coming Soon.
Why do you Coach?
"I started coaching because I love to be around the game of baseball. After playing the game for so long it's hard to imagine life without it. Coaching allows me the opportunity to help kids develop and learn baseball the right way. Theres nothing quite like seeing a player grow as a ball player and a person over the years."
Eddie Mattocks
Director of Player Development
13u & 15u Coach
A Columbia, SC native, Eddie Mattocks joins the Ace Baseball after attending Brevard College and Lander University.
At Lander University Eddie was the President of the Club Baseball Team from 2019-2021 and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education. He is currently enrolled at Greenville Tech in their Physical Therapy Assistantship program.
Eddie will be working with most of our teams as an assistant coach
Why do you Coach?
"I started coaching because I have a passion for helping the next generation, as you can see by my chosen career path. I also believe that baseball can teach you countless life lessons and I hope to share some of the knowledge that I've acquired over the years with the younger generation of athletes."
